About the role

We're looking for a Product Engineer to work at the cutting edge of multimodal AI in sales. You'll build state-of-the-art AI systems that handle millions of real customer calls per day, operating at the intersection of voice AI, LLMs, and real-time infrastructure. This is a high-ownership role where you'll develop multimodal AI systems with particular focus on voice interactions, implement robust safety and alignment frameworks for AI-customer conversations, and balance rapid feature deployment with architectural scalability. You'll work directly with customers worth millions in ARR, understand their challenges, and ship AI solutions that transform their sales operations. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in modern LLM techniques, experience with voice AI technologies, and a track record of building production AI systems at scale. You'll thrive in our high-intensity environment where we're pushing the boundaries of what's possible with conversational AI.

What you'll do

  • Develop state-of-the-art multimodal AI systems with focus on voice interactions
  • Implement robust safety and alignment frameworks for LLM-customer conversations
  • Build scalable monitoring systems to detect and escalate unexpected model behaviors
  • Balance rapid feature deployment with architectural scalability
  • Ensure AI systems comply with financial regulations and safety requirements
  • Own customer relationships and join calls to understand their challenges firsthand
  • Optimize real-time voice AI systems handling millions of concurrent calls
  • Implement advanced prompt engineering and RAG techniques for better conversations
  • Build evaluation frameworks to measure AI agent performance and conversation quality

What we're looking for

  • Deep expertise in modern LLM techniques (RAG, fine-tuning, prompt engineering)
  • Experience with voice AI, ASR, and TTS technologies
  • Track record of building and deploying production AI systems at scale
  • Strong background in ML systems design and engineering best practices
  • Excellence in cross-functional communication with customers and team
  • Experience implementing AI safety and monitoring frameworks
  • Strong programming skills in Python and TypeScript
  • Ability to work 5+ days per week from our San Francisco office

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience working directly with LLMs or voice AI technologies
  • Experience with AI/ML systems and model deployment
  • Background in voice or telephony technologies
  • Experience at a fast-growing B2B SaaS company
  • Understanding of sales processes and CRM systems
  • Experience with WebRTC or real-time communication
  • Track record of building products from 0 to 1
  • Open source contributions or technical writing

Work Environment

As an early-stage company building at the frontier of AI, we work with high intensity and commitment. While schedules can vary by role and team, many weeks will demand extra focus, flexibility, and time—particularly during major launches and high-impact sprints. We're seeking those who are aligned to and able to commit to that expectation, which includes 5 days per week in our San Francisco office.
