About the role

We're looking for a Sales Engineer who can bridge the gap between our cutting-edge AI technology and enterprise customer needs. You'll be the technical voice in sales conversations, helping Fortune 500 companies understand how AI agents can transform their sales operations. This role requires both deep technical knowledge and excellent communication skills. You'll work with customers to design custom solutions, run proof-of-concepts, and ensure successful deployments at scale. The ideal candidate has experience with enterprise software sales, strong technical skills, and the ability to translate complex technology into business value.

What you'll do

  • Lead technical discussions with enterprise prospects and customers
  • Design and deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to customer use cases
  • Build proof-of-concepts and pilots that showcase ROI potential
  • Partner with sales team to identify technical requirements and solution design
  • Create technical documentation, integration guides, and best practices
  • Support customer implementations and ensure successful deployments
  • Gather product feedback and work with engineering on feature requests
  • Develop reusable demo environments and sales engineering assets
  • Train sales team on technical aspects of the product
  • Represent the company at conferences and technical events

What we're looking for

  • Strong technical background with ability to code (Python, JavaScript preferred)
  • Experience with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
  • Understanding of cloud platforms and enterprise architecture
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to understand complex business problems and design solutions
  • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales tools
  • Customer-facing experience with enterprise accounts
  • Ability to travel 25-30% of the time
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of sales engineering or solutions architecture experience
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies or conversational AI
  • Background in telephony or contact center technologies
  • Experience selling to sales or revenue teams
  • Knowledge of compliance and security requirements (SOC 2, GDPR)
  • Previous experience at a high-growth SaaS startup
  • Sales methodology training (MEDDIC, Challenger, etc.)
  • Public speaking experience or technical writing portfolio

Work Environment

As an early-stage company building at the frontier of AI, we work with high intensity and commitment. While schedules can vary by role and team, many weeks will demand extra focus, flexibility, and time—particularly during major launches and high-impact sprints. We're seeking those who are aligned to and able to commit to that expectation, which includes 5 days per week in our San Francisco office.
